Florida Trip - February 24 to March 13, 2003

This trip was one of our first tests to see if we could handle long distance driving. We worked our way down 75, over to 65 and eventually to New Orleans. As luck would have it, we ended up there on the big Mardi Gras weekend! Also in the area we hit Gulfport/Biloxi where Sharon checked out the casinos, and both of us the golf courses. Next we went over to Destin for a short stay and a visit with the Ullocks (this was a test to see if we wanted to spend a month in Destin in 2004).

After Destin, we worked our way up the Alabama trail and stopped in Atlanta for a visit with Gene Blair. Finally we left Atlanta and headed home.
