Kaanapali Tournament North Course - 9/7/2001
Undoubtedly this was the low point of the trip. Kaanapali North looked
and played like a municipal golf course: there were weeds on the fairways
and greens, long dry areas, dead patches, etc. It claimed a slope of 130,
but it played more like 120. There was a photocopied apology on each golf
cart promising to renovate the course and implying we were getting an
especially low maintenance rate. I can't imagine this being "The
home of the Senior PGA in Hawaii". It was overpriced at $90.
Scores were Jim - 83, John - 85, Roy - 98, Terry - 94
Being a disappointing course, and one that wasn't so scenic, we didn't waste a lot of time taking photos...
