Kapalua Plantation - 9/4/2001

What can you say about Kapalua!!! It's awesome and has some very spectacular views, but is really tough to score on. The fairways are quite wide but there are lots of large carries and holes where you must lay up or place your shots. It is very long with the whites over 6550 and a slope of 135. The greens were large but a little bumpy (recently aerated); combining that with the wind meant that 3-putts were very common. I didn't think I played it badly, in spite of my 99! I would not replay this one as it was simply too expensive ($200) to do more than once.
Scores were Jim - 93, John - 99, Roy - 109, Terry - 97.
