Maui - December 15, 2011 to January 9, 2012

Maui was the first stop of the winter trip of 2012. Mike came along for this leg of the journey and then he went back to Toronto while we (John and Sharon) headed to Oz. The weather was fabulous (as usual, Maui being in paradise) and it let us do all sorts of things. We went to Maui Swap Meet three different times (the best place to get fresh veggies and fruits at reasonable prices), we played a bunch of golf, we went to the top of Haleakala (second time for us but first for Mike), enjoyed the beach, and visited Lahaina. After Mike left, we saw the practice round for the season beginning PGA Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Plantation Golf Course. It was a busy 2 1/2 weeks and a great start to the trip.
